Samuel T. Greene Jr., 69, of Starway Lane, Greeneville, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at his home.

He was a retired Captain with the Greeneville Police Department after 32 years of service. He was the first K-9 officer for the department.

Sam was an avid member of the Harley Owners Group and was a U. S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Jaime and Tyson Lamb of Greeneville; two grandsons: Jaxon and Tylan Lamb; several cousins; and special friends: Sam and Betty Cameron, Mark Laws, and Warren Ricker.

He was the son of the late Samuel T. Greene, Sr. and Eva McAmis Greene and was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mildred McAmis.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be past and present fellow officers of the Greeneville Police Department.
